Almost 2 million francs from the city to the Lakers' practice rink

The new ice rink of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, which will be built on the location of the current outdoor ice rink, will be used by the club as a practice rink. The total cost for the realization of the building will be around 9 million francs, 1.8 of which paid by the city of Rapperswil-Jona.

As the club explains, the practice rink will benefit the SCRJ's young talent, with over 400 children and teenagers, as well as the ice skating club. As soon as the required special utilization plan is available, the Lakers will probably be able to submit the building application this year.
