Earlier today, HC Ambrì-Piotta announced two new signings and an extension. For the latter, Michael Joly is sticking around. A member since last summer, the forward will keep wearing blue and white until 2028. He put up 21 goals and 19 assists in 52 games last season.
The two new import faces on the Biancoblù are called Nate Schnarr and Roby Järventie. Schnarr, 27, joins them from the Kölner Haie. Since leaving North America in 2023, the Canadian has been a bit of a journeyman, first playing for the Liiga's Pelicans, then for JYP, the aforementioned Haie, never staying more than a season. With Ambrì, that is supposedly changing, as he has signed until 2028.
23-year-old Järventie, for his part, was last part of the Edmonton Oilers, albeit mostly played for their AHL-affiliate in Bakersfield. His two-year deal with the Biancoblù marks an end to a North American adventure, having started in 2021.
