At their press conference earlier today, HC Fribourg-Gottéron announced that they will honor Andrei Bykov for his tenure with them. A ceremony will be held on September 27, before the Dragons' game against HC Ambrì-Piotta.

Bykov, son of former longtime Fribourg player and team consultant Slava, made his debut for the National League team in the 2005-06 season and stayed with them until the end of his active career, 803 games later. He has been working as an assistant coach in the youth department and is taking on the position of talent manager.

As part of the press conference, team manager Gerd Zenhäusern also shared the men's squad's goal for this season: a top-six finish.
