With the acquisition of David Sklenička, EV Zug now has three import defenders under contract and a total of eight. However, Swedish defender Niklas Hansson is supposedly on the market. This ingoing transfer thus suggests that Hansson might indeed soon leave the Bulls.
“In David, we are gaining a defender who is strong in duels, has very solid skating skills, and consistently performs well at a high level,” states team manager Reto Kläy about the 28-year-old.
Last season, Sklenička suited up for Lausanne HC, scoring three goals and putting up 30 assists in 69 games, including the playoffs. The Lions decided not to offer him a new contract.
