HC Ajoie has announced the signing of Oula Palve. Coming from Ilves Tampere, the Finn joins them on a one-year deal (including an option to add a second).
"This talented forward will help add a new dimension to our offensive side", team manager Julien Vauvlair notes. "He has also been part of the Finnish national team and will undoubtedly bring a wealth of experience to our locker room."
Palve started his career with JYP, made his way around the Liiga, went to play in the AHL for a year, spent some time in the SHL and eventually joined Ilves last summer.
This past regular season, the 32-year-old finished with 20 goals and 44 assists for 64 points, which was the most in the Liiga. His future teammate in Ajoie, Jerry Turkilainen, was one point behind him.
