According to Klaus Zaugg ("Watson"), the 29-year-old defenseman seems to have signed a one-year deal with the SCL Tigers. However, the deal would, of course, only remain valid if the Tigers stay in the National League. Riikola would replace Sami Lepistö who will apparently return to Finland.
Juuso Riikola made his debut as a professional hockey player for KalPa in the Finnish Liiga. From 2018 to 2022, he then suited up for the Pittsburgh Penguins. This season, he recorded two goals and 17 assists in 42 games for IK Oskarshamn.
