National League

Yesterday evening, the young forward of the Seeländer became the youngest player ever in the National League to record a point in his debut.

Due to a rather crowded infirmary, 15-year-old Jonah Neuenschwander was included in Biel's lineup for the game against Lausanne HC last night. Not only did he become one of the youngest players to make his National League debut (Michel Riesen, also for EHC Biel, debuted in the 1994-95 season a tad younger than Neuenschwander), but he is the youngest ever to get a point in his debut, with his secondary assist on EHC Biel's first goal. Neuenschwander was born on March 10, 2009.

Before yesterday, Neuenschwander only suited up for EHC Biel's U20 squad this season, scoring ten goals and collecting 13 assists in 25 games, leading the league among U17 players.
