Four seasons in the Ticino are enough - the defenseman is headed to Northern Switzerland for the next three.

EHC Kloten has announced a new signing. From HC Lugano, Bernd Wolf joins on a three-year deal. It will be the defenseman's third station in Switzerland, after starting his career with SC Bern and spending some time in his home country, Austria. In total, Wolf has accumulated almost 200 games in the National League so far.

Team manager Larry Mitchell praises the 26-year-old's skating and battling. "This fits in perfectly with the fast ice hockey that we try to cultivate in Kloten. He will be a great addition to our team."

Thanks to his junior time spent with Bern, Wolf does not count against the import limit.
