EHC Biel has confirmed the addition of Mathias Tjärnqvist as assistant coach. Released by his former team, the Malmö Redhawks, yesterday, the Swede will join the staff of his fellow countryman, Martin Filander. He signed a two-year deal.
Besides Tjärnqvist, Biel has also nominated Beat Forster as assistant coach. Forster just ended his active on-ice career two months ago, but will continue to work for Biel in form instead - for at least the coming year.
