The agreement between HC Davos and Brendan Lemieux puts him under contract for two and a half seasons.

The 28-year-old has played over 300 games in the NHL, including the playoffs. Most recently he did so for the Carolina Hurricanes, the Winnipeg Jets, the New York Rangers, and the Los Angeles Kings.

Last Friday, after having been placed on unconditional waivers to terminate his contract with the Hurricanes, he cleared waivers, thus making him a free agent.

Jan Alston, HCD general manager, is confident he will fit in with the team: “Brendan is a player who stands out with his intensity, passion, and will to win. His player profile makes him the perfect addition to our team and will give our coaching staff more options.”

The Canadien played 315 games over seven seasons. In those appearances, he recorded 37 goals and 38 assists.
