The duo of Joël Genazzi and Michael Raffl has been chosen following a vote of all the players from the first squad. The two captains will be supported by four assistants: Lukas Frick (who wore the "C" during the past season), Andrea Glauser, Ken Jäger and Damien Riat.
John Fust, Lausanne HC's team manager, believes that Genazzi has become an iconic player in Lausanne: "Joel has been with the club for over ten years now, and is the face of Lausanne HC on the ice, in the dressing room, and in the hearts of our fans."
As for Michael Raffl, Fust explains that since his arrival, the Austrian has naturally established himself as an important leader for the team and that he is motivated to fulfill his role despite his injury.
