SC Bern is currently seeking a replacement for Patrik Bärtschi, with whom they parted ways yesterday.

The former HC Fribourg-Gottéron head coach and team manager is interested in a return to Bern, as he tells Klaus Zaugg ("Watson"): "The people in charge know that I'm interested." He adds that he has always gotten along with Marc Lüthi and has played with Martin Plüss for several seasons.

Dubé is a familiar figure in Bern as he used to play for the team for nine seasons before leaving the capital city to join HC Fribourg-Gottéron: "I know the values that are lived at the SCB and I would also move back to Bern [if I were to become the new team manager]."

It remains to be seen whether Dubé will get a chance to return to Bern and succeed Bärtschi. The process of finding his replacement has only just started.  In the meantime, Martin Plüss will take over Bärtschi's duties and will have to look for a sixth import player for the team.
