As HC Fribourg-Gottéron informs, they have decided to separate the two roles as of the 2024-25 season and to start looking for a new team manager, citing the "increasing complexity of the tasks and the very high workload." Christian Dubé is thus only going to keep his position as head coach.
"While the dual role had its advantages, we feel that we need to change if we are to continue to progress," Gottéron's CEO John Gobbi says. Also Christian Dubé agrees with the evaluation: "After almost nine years as team manager, it makes sense for the organization to benefit from new ideas."
Since October 2019, Dubé has been both team manager and head coach in Fribourg.
