As anticipated by "Watson"'s Klaus Zaugg, the 33-year-old Finn joins HC Lugano from the Edmonton Oilers. He will stay at least until 2024.

With Mikko Koskinen, the Bianconeri now have five import-players on their roster for the upcoming season. The Finn has played in the NHL for the Edmonton Oilers over the past four seasons. In 2021-22, he appeared in 45 regular season games (.903 SV%) and three playoff games (.897).

Before he moved overseas for the second time in his career in 2018, the Finnish international played in the KHL, where he won the Gagarin Cup in 2015 and 2017 with SKA St. Petersburg.
