As anticipated by Expressen, the forward has made use of his out clause and will play in the National League next season.
The Swedish newspaper reported yesterday that Malte Strömwall would sign with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. He would have had one-year left on his contract with Frölunda HC. He has now agreed to a two-year contract with the Lakers.
Strömwall has played in the SHL, the KHL, the Liiga, the AHL, and the ECHL throughout his career. In 52 regular-season games for Frölunda this season, he recorded 15 goals and 25 assists.
