The 30-year-old forward has signed a two-year contract extension with the National League team. He will stay in Lausanne until the 2026-27 season ends.

"24 heures" reported at the end of October that Antti Suomela and Lausanne HC were in advanced negotiations regarding a new contract for the Finn. Thus, the international break was needed to agree to terms.
Suomela has been with Lausanne HC since the 2023-24 season. Before joining the National League, the forward played in the Liiga, the NHL, the AHL, and the SHL. He has recorded six goals and 13 assists in 18 games this season.
