Contract terminated - Ivars Punnenovs leaves LHC and joins the Lakers

Bound together by a contract valid until 2027, the two parties mutually agreed on an early termination.

As Lausanne HC announces, effective immediately Ivars Punnenovs is not a Lion anymore. LHC has thus two goaltenders under contract now, namely Connor Hughes and Kevin Pasche.

The 29-year-old Latvian goaltender will now join the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers - for which he already suited up from 2012 to 2015 - with a two-year contract that contains an option for an additional season.

This season, Punnenovs was on the game sheet 15 times, averaging a save percentage of .879. He also suited up twice with HCV Martigny in the Swiss League, posting a save percentage of .909.
