Crossing the Gotthard - Elia Riva from Lugano to Zug

Next summer, Elia Riva will move across the Alps and join EV Zug until 2025. His current team, HC Lugano, already announced the 24-year-old's departure yesterday, his new team made the signing public today.

"Elia is a strong and robust defender who will add stability to our defense," team manager Reto Kläy mentions. "He already brings several years of experience despite his young age. I am happy that he will strengthen us."

Riva has made 262 games in the National- and 32 games in the Swiss League so far, all of them for either HC Lugano or the HCB Ticino Rockets.
