Defender Tarmo Reunanen joins HC Ajoie until the end of the season

For the rest of the season, HC Ajoie has signed 27-year-old defenseman Tarmo Reunanen from Finnish club TPS Turku, where the Finn served as captain. Reunanen will be available to the National League club starting Thursday and could make his debut on Friday in the game against HC Lugano. 

Before joining Turku, Reunanen played for Czech club HC Energie Karlovy Vary in the 2024-25 season. During his career, he also played for Lukko Rauma in Finland alongside Turku. From 2020 to 2022, he played in North America for the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes organizations. In the 2021-22 season, he won the AHL championship with the Chicago Wolves but did not actually play in the playoffs. 

Reunanen has played 45 games for Turku this season, scoring six goals and contributing 18 assists.
