Currently, EV Zug has to make do without Lukas Bengtsson and Dominik Schlumpf for several weeks, and Elia Riva is awaiting further medical clarification regarding his absence. For this reason, Zug has acquired the services of 31-year-old Jesse Graham. The agreement contains an option for the entire season. The defender was a free agent after spending the last two seasons in the KHL with HK Sochi.

Team manager Reto Kläy felt compelled to respond to the current injury situation by signing another import player on defense in view of the packed schedule awaiting the club, and describes the newest acquisition as a “strong defender who also gets involved in offensive play and can set up his teammates with assists”.

Over the last two seasons in Sochi, Graham scored 18 goals and recorded 38 assists in 120 games. Before Sochi, Graham also made stops in Kazakhstan with Barys Astana, in the Slovakian league, in the Liiga, and in the DEL.
