As the German version of "Blick" speculates, Genève-Servette HC will likely not be able to keep Henrik Haapala in Geneva as they might now lack the necessary funds. Apparently, a DEL club has offered a multi-year contract to the Finn and other National League teams have also shown interest in him.
The newspaper had already reported earlier this week that Marc Gautschi was undecided on the future of Haapala and had apparently also offered him to other teams. It seems thus more than likely that the forward, who recorded three goals and seven assists in nine games for the Grenats, will leave the team come Tuesday.
