Antti Raanta told "Ilta-Sanomat" last week that he was looking at options from different European countries, including Switzerland. He has now chosen to sign with Genève-Servette HC.
Last season, Raanta suited up for the Carolina Hurricanes and their partner team in the AHL, the Chicago Wolves, averaging a .872 save percentage. Throughout his career, Raanta suited up in 301 NHL games.
Descloux is not the only player in Genève-Servette HC's infirmary: Christophe Cavalleri broke one of the bones in his hand and required surgery. He will be out of the lineup for five to six weeks.
