Dominik Diem has signed a one-year contract (with an option for an additional season) with the Flughafenstädter. EHC Kloten will be Diem's third team in the National League after the ZSC Lions and EHC Biel. Next spring, therefore, Diem will leave the Lions after four seasons.
"He is a very talented player in the technical area. I've seen Dominik in action several times over the last few years," states Kloten's team manager Larry Mitchell. "He can play any position in attack, but I think he's best as a center forward."
This season, the 25-year-old collected two assists in 14 games with the Lions. On average, Diem spends 7:47 minutes on the ice per game, one of the lowest TOI on the team.
