Due to several absences related to injuries, EHC Biel has signed Rihards Bukarts to a short-term contract, valid until January 31. Bukarts, who has not played since the end of the past season, will find in Biel his former head coach Petri Matikainen.
Last season, Bukarts suited up for EC Klagenfurter Athletiksport Club in the ICEHL, collecting 28 points in 33 games. Moreover, he won the bronze medal at the World Championship with the Latvian national team, leading the team with eleven points.
