Jesse Puljujärvi, 27, is the sixth import of Genève-Servette HC for the upcoming season. He joins them from North America. The Grenats now have one defender and five forwards on their roster. Marc Gautschi, team manager of GSHC, believes that the Finn-Swedish forward will be an offensive leader for them: "We've been following Jesse Puljujärvi for some time now. Thanks to his physique and speed, he can be dominant on the big Swiss rinks."
Last season, Puljujärvi contributed eleven points to the playoff run of the Charlotte Checkers, which reached the final of the AHL championship. Overall, he has made 414 NHL games, recording 61 goals and 73 assists. In the AHL, he has appeared 109 times, putting up 28 goals and 45 assists. Internationally, he has chosen to represent Finland.
