Early contract extension for SCRJ's Gian-Marco Wetter

Although the final season of his three-year contract has not begun yet, Gian-Marco Wetter has struck a deal with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for a two-year extension valid until 2027. Wetter has been a Laker since 2019 when he joined them from HC Davos.

Over the years, Wetter has become an important piece of the puzzle: "[...] he is now part of the core of this team. He embodies the Lakers 100 percent and I am convinced that his development will continue" states team manager Janick Steinmann.

This past season, Wetter scored six goals and put up seven assists for a total of 13 points in 44 games. In the previous two seasons, he recorded 15 and 18 points.
