A concussion suffered during the pre-season limited Rasmus Kupari to seven regular-season games and four playoff appearances, but nonetheless, team manager Janick Steinmann has much confidence in the forward: “Rasmus went through a very difficult season. [...] Once he got back on the ice, he showed his speed and skills, and during the playoffs, he was among our best forwards."
Kupari joined HC Lugano with a two-year contract at the beginning of the 2025-26 season from the Winnipeg Jets, returning to Europe after six years in North America. In the playoffs, he collected three points in the quarterfinal series against the ZSC Lions.
