Early extension with Kloten for Dario Meyer

Earlier today, EHC Kloten announced that they have signed Dario Meyer to an extension. Part of them since 2021, the new contract will make the 29-year-old forward a member of the team until 2032.

"Dario is a player who plays an enormously important role in our competitive development", team manager Ricardo Schödler notes. "He knows the club, the city, and our community, takes responsibility, and has continued to develop over the past few years. With his quality, his mindset, and his commitment to the EHC, he embodies exactly what we want to build."

After spending his junior time and first few professional winters with SC Bern, Meyer joined HC Davos in 2018. Halfway through his third season in the mountains, he was loaned to Kloten (when they were still in the Swiss League) before eventually becoming a full part of them the summer after.

"From the very beginning, my top priority was to be able to stay with EHC Kloten", Meyer himself states. "I want to continue playing an important role here, take on responsibility, and help build something. Kloten has become my home, and I am really looking forward to the years ahead. I am convinced that together we can still achieve a great deal, and I want to give back to the club some of what I have received here."

Overall, Meyer has recorded 64 goals and 59 assists throughout 365 National League games.
