EHC Biel terminates contract with Martin Filander – Return to Sweden?

EHC Biel has terminated its contract with former head coach Martin Filander, which was set to run through 2027, effective at the end of March. The 44-year-old Swede served as head coach for the Seelanders from the 2024–25 season until January 2026. 

According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen, Filander will return to Örebro HK as head coach for the upcoming season. He played for the SHL club during his active playing career and began his coaching career in their youth program in 2012.
