In just five days, Lauri Marjamäki will begin his second season behind EHC Kloten's bench, but he has already found an agreement to stay for a third season. The 48-year-old Finn has the merit of having contributed to the positive development of the team, states team manager Ricardo Schödler: “Continuity and quality are important to us. That's why we were keen to extend Lauri's contract. He wants the kind of ice hockey that suits us and brings our playing identity to life."
In addition to Marjamäki, Reto Schäppi will also stay further. He has signed a two-year contract valid until spring 2028. The 34-year-old will also soon begin his second season with EHC Kloten. "Reto has given us so much in his first year with Kloten – on the ice, but also as a leader off the ice. His national and international experience is evident and helps us both on the ice and in the locker room," comments Schödler.
