Pettersson's departure from Timrå IK in the direction of the Emmental has been rumored for a while. The team officialised the deal today. The Swedish forward would have still had a deal in place with Timrå, but he made use of his out clause. In 51 regular-season games for the SHL team, he recorded 15 goals and 31 assists.
The SCL Tigers also confirmed that Sean Malone would not return to Langnau next season. Langnau is done with the acquisition of import players. With Emil Pettersson, Jonathan Dahlén, Juuso Riikola, Santtu Kinnunen, André Petersson, Hannes Björninen, and Saku Mäenalanen, they have seven players under contract for the next season.
In other news, Jiří Felcman has been signed to a three-year, entry-level contract that runs through the 2028-29 season ($996,667 salary cap hit). He is thus now officially a member of the Chicago Blackhawks. His contract with the SCL Tigers will remain valid. If he were not to play in North America next season, he is expected to return to Langnau and fulfil his deal.
The 20-year-old forward collected 20 points (three goals) in 52 games this season. He is currently loaned to the Rockford IceHogs via a PTO.
