Last Saturday, the SCL Tigers gathered in their arena with their fans to celebrate the end of a season that saw them reach Game 7 of the playoff quarterfinals series against Lausanne HC. Among the many smiles for the sporting achievement, there were also some tears for the departing players.
As is known, Stéphane Charlin and Vili Saarijärvi will join Genève-Servette HC. At the same time, Brian Zanetti will return to HC Lugano, Darels Dukurs will permanently join EHC Chur, and Pascal Berger has decided to retire. For other players, the future is unclear: Sean Malone, Michal Kristof, Claudio Cadonau, Jonas Schwab (who had already left the Tigers in February), and Matthias Rossi still either do not have a team for next season or it has not been announced yet.
