EV Zug is supposedly interested in Cameron Hughes

According to Klaus Zaugg ("Watson"), EV Zug has taken an interest in Cameron Hughes. As his sources tell him, the negotiations are supposedly at an advanced stage. Hughes mostly played in the AHL last season for the Texas Stars. He recorded 68 points (17 goals) in the regular season and six points in the postseason. He also appeared in three games (one goal) for the Dallas Stars. 

Zaugg also reports that EV Zug is looking for an offensive defenseman. As rumor has it, this move is either to take the pressure off the injury-prone Lukas Bengtsson - or to replace him. Bengtsson is under contract with the EVZ through 2027.
