"There are candidates, but nothing concrete. The market does not offer much," Kläy tells the "Luzerner Zeitung", adding that he will not let anyone lead him to make a hasty transfer.
Finding a new import player is not the only task on Kläy's list, though. With Nico Gross leaving EV Zug next season, he will also have to look for a new defenseman to replace him.
As the same source speculates, Dominik Egli (HC Davos) and Tobias Fohrler (HC Ambrì-Piotta) might be candidates. Arno Nussbaumer and Rémi Vogel, whose contract with EV Zug will expire at the end of the season, might also get a chance. Furthermore, Cédric Fiedler is apparently on the list, too.
Fiedler used to play for EV Zug at the junior level. In the 2018-19 season, he decided to continue his career in North America. He played two seasons in the USHL and is now in his fourth NCAA season with Western Michigan University.
