The young Latvian forward, who debuted in the National League this season, signed a two-year contract.
A native of Mārupe, a municipality not far from Riga, Roberts Cjunskis arrived in Lugano in 2016 at the age of 13. After seven years in the organization of the Bianconeri, during which he received a Swiss player's license, the 20-year-old earned himself his first professional contract.
This season, Cjunskis split time with HC Lugano's main squad - scoring one goal and collecting one assist in 14 games - and with the U20 squad - recording eleven goals and four assists in 17 games.
