NLA - The Captain stays aboard! As the ZSC Lions announce, they have extended the contract with their 36-year-old defenseman Mathias Seger for another year. He will thus stay a Lion at least until the end of the 2015-16 season.
Since he joined ZSC in 1999, Mathias Seger has become an integral part of the ZSC Lions. In 2005 he was named their Captain. Over the course of his whole career in the NLA, the 36-year-old played a total of 989 games, scored 114 goals and added 318 assists for 432 points.
