With Rico Gredig, EV Zug has acquired the services of a smart and promising player, team manager Reto Kläy explains: "He has a very high level of game intelligence, is a strong skater with a lot of speed, and has a fine touch with the puck. With his profile, Rico will be a great asset to our team in the future. We see a lot of potential in him".
EV Zug will be Gredig's first team outside the organization of HC Davos. The 20-year-old was drafted last year in the sixth round (191st overall pick) by the New York Rangers and has participated in the last two editions of the World Juniors. This season, he has picked up two assists so far.
