“Andreas impresses with his speed and aggressive forechecking,” team manager Reto Kläy is quoted on Wingerli's qualities. “I'm delighted that he will continue to play in Zug for the next two years.” Wingerli joined EV Zug during the 2023 offseason from Skellefteå AIK, his formative club. Wingerli was the last import on the current roster of EV Zug without a contract for the next season.
Last season, Wingerli collected 20 points in 49 regular season games, to which he added eight points in eleven playoff games. This season, he has already surpassed his points total with 21 in 34 games.
