Currently sidelined due to injury, there at least is some positive development for the forward off the ice.
EHC Biel has announced the signing of Fabio Hofer to an extension, making the Austrian a member of the club until 2028. He has been with them since 2020 when he joined from HC Ambrì-Piotta.
With Biel, Hofer has made 151 National League games so far, recording 49 goals and 53 assists. In the four appearances before his injury this season, he was held scoreless. Due to a torn ligament, the 32-year-old is likely to be sidelined for the remainder of 2023.
