Fribourg is reportedly acquiring Laker Lucas Hedlund

HC Fribourg-Gottéron's interest in Lucas Hedlund was already reported in November, and it seems things have gone positively for them. According to "Blick", the forward, who is suiting up in EHC Winterthur's colors at the moment, has chosen them.

Born in Sweden, Hedlund initially came to Switzerland when his father Stefan got a job with EV Zug. After having returned home for a season, the youngster eventually joined the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' youth department in 2021. He is still part of the organization, and playing in the Swiss League as part of the Lakers' agreement with Winterthur. In 37 games with them, the 18-year-old sits at seven goals and 13 assists.
