"La Liberté" with Gerd Zenhäusern about his plans for HC Fribourg-Gottéron's roster. Several moves have already been made, such as the additions of Patrik Nemeth and Andrea Glauser. Other possibilities - Michael Kapla joining from Rögle, Henrik Borgström from HV71, Lucas Hedlund from the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers - are yet to be confirmed. "We have decided not to communicate any more about new arrivals until the end of the season", the team manager states.
Some members of the current roster are yet to be accounted for. Defenseman Simon Seiler is in talks regarding an extension. Forward Kevin Nicolet is set to receive an offer, and Kevin Etter is likely to do so as well.
On the import side, Jakub Lilja and Linden Vey are presumably going to leave. Fribourg wants to go into the next season with only six imports, and Borgström and Kapla likely to join the Swedish group of Patrick Nemeth, Jacob de la Rose, Marcus Sörensen, and Lucas Wallmark, there would be no space for them. "There is bound to be a risk, but if we start with seven, there is always going to be someone who is not happy", Zenhäusern notes. "Putting everyone under pressure from the beginning by designating supernumeraries is not our strategy."
Behind the bench, Pavel Rosa and Yves Sarault will no longer be part of the Dragons. Instead, current Genève-Servette HC co-coach Rikard Franzén is set to join the duo of current head - and future assistant coach Lars Leuenberger and future head coach Roger Rönnberg.
