Jayce Hawryluk went into last autumn without a club. In late October, he eventually signed with Slovakian representative HC Nove Zamky. Three months later, the Canadian is already on the move again - to join EHC Kloten.
"Jayce is an extremely dangerous and versatile forward who stands out with a great skill set and brings additional variability to the lineup", team manager Ricardo Schödler states. "We are delighted to have him on board as a reinforcement for the decisive phase of the regular season!"
Hawryluk spent his later junior years with the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings. He was drafted 32nd overall by the Florida Panthers in 2014. The years after joining the organization saw him get a lot of appearances in the AHL and eventually the NHL, too. In 2020, his journey began - first Ottawa, then Vancouver, a season with Skellefteå, back to Ottawa, New Jersey, the Bílí Tygři Liberec, and finally Nove Zamky before now coming to Switzerland.
His new club would like to point out that this contract was signed before the recent occurrences.
