Effective immediately and for the next three seasons, the former forward of the Winnipeg Jets will play for the club in the Emmental.
With the acquisition of Saku Mäenalanen, the SCL Tigers now have seven imports under contract. However, one of them, Anthony Louis, will be sidelined for a month with a lower-body injury. In the Emmental, the 29-year-old will play alongside four fellow countrymen.
Mäenalanen is an Olympic gold, World Championship, and World Juniors winner, as well as a three-time champion in the Liiga with Kärpät. Last season, Mäenalanen suited up in 69 games for the Winnipeg Jets, collecting eleven points.
