As expected after missing out on Tim Berni, the ZSC Lions have chosen a defender as their seventh import player. Scott Harrington, 30, has played his whole career in North America, splitting time between the AHL and the NHL. Most recently, he suited up for the Anaheim Ducks.
"Scott is a very solid stay-at-home defender with good size, speed, and a good first pass," states Sven Leuenberger, team manager of the ZSC Lions, on their newest addition to the roster.
Over the course of his career, Harrington appeared in 224 AHL games and 269 NHL games, most of which were with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Last season, he collected seven points in 28 games with the San Jose Sharks before getting traded to the Anaheim Ducks (via the New Jersey Devils), for which he recorded four points in 17 games.
