The 20-year-old defenseman will stay with Genève-Servette HC until the end of the 2025-26 season.
"Since his arrival, he has improved every day and has become a very appreciated member of the team," Marc Gautschi, team manager of GSHC, states. "Despite his age, he has a very composed playing style which is quite rare."
Chanton is a product of EHC Basel's organization but has also played junior hockey for the SCL Tigers and the Niagara Ice Dogs. He joined the Grenats in the 2021-22 season.
