Goaltender Matia Birchler receives professional contract from EV Zug

Matia Birchler is a product of EV Zug's organization and will thus remain with Zug at least until the end of the 2027-28 season. He will join Mathieu Croce and Leonardo Genoni and serve as Zug's third goalie. He will, however, be loaned to a Swiss League team next season.

Birchler has been playing for the Bulls since 2021 and has also played for several junior national teams. This season, he has appeared in 30 games for EVZ's U21 team.
