Genève-Servette HC has announced the addition of Mika Henauer. Coming from the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, the defender will start a two-year contract with the National League team next summer.

"We are very happy to have Mika on board for next season. He is an intelligent defenseman who can deliver a solid two-way game every night", team manager Marc Gautschi states. "With his vision and puck management skills, he will energize our offense. Mika is now reaching his prime age, and if he continues to progress as he has this season, he will be an undeniable asset for us."

Henauer, 25, is currently in his seventh National League season, his second with the Lakers. So far, he has gathered 213 appearances for SC Bern, EHC Kloten, and Rapperswil. In addition, he has made 65 games in the Swiss League. In his younger days, he was a regular member of the various Swiss junior national teams.
