GSHC confirms the arrival of defender Jan Rutta

"Blick" reported last week that the two-time Stanley Cup champion would join Genève-Servette HC. "We are delighted to have found the perfect fit in Jan, who fits the profile we were looking for in a physically strong and experienced two-way defenseman," Marc Gautschi, team manager of GSHC, said. 

Jan Rutta has already joined the team and will thus be part of the remainder of GSHC's preseason. The Czech suited up for the San Jose Sharks in the past two seasons. Last year, he recorded three goals and six assists in 54 games for the Sharks.
