The 33-year-old Canadian, in Porrentruy since 2015, has signed a two-year contract extension with an option for an additional season.

HC Ajoie and Jonathan Hazen have decided that nine seasons together are not enough, therefore they have agreed to a two-year contract extension, which can be further extended until 2027. Hazen is the third import player under contract with the Ajoulots past this season, joining defender T. J. Brennan and forward Philip-Michaël Devos (both until 2025).

Team manager Julien Vauclair is satisfied with being able to keep one of their most important players around: "Hazen is having an excellent season. With his experience and his ability in front of goal, he's an indispensable part of our attacking offensive sector."

With 12 goals in 27 games this season so far, Hazen is the top scorer of HC Ajoie and has already matched the total goals scored last year in 38 games. He also leads the team in points, with 21.
