As known, SC Bern has been trying to find a solution for Éric Gélinas, who is not wanted in Bern anymore but whose contract with the Bears expires only in 2024. A party interested in hiring Gélinas already since May - as Klaus Zaugg reported back then - it appears that HC Ajoie has indeed pursued and almost concluded negotiations with the 32-year-old Canadian. With Gélinas, Ajoie would have thus found their sixth import.
Gélinas, who would sign a one-year contract with the Ajoulots according to "Blick", arrived last season in Bern from Djurgårdens IF. With the Bears, however, the defender was not able to suit up many times due to a hip injury and collected only three assists in 15 games.
